The morning of Wednesday 5th March, 2025 will go down in history as one of the most exciting days at Legacy Private School. Our school’s very own Games Day, an initiative brought to life by the visionary Mrs. Henrietta, was an astounding success. Held from 8 AM to 10 AM, this event turned our ordinary school grounds into a lively arena of diverse games and activities, all anchored by our dedicated teachers.
The day started with the echo of excitement as students and teachers gathered to partake in the myriad of games on display. From traditional cultural activities to modern challenges, there was something for everyone. Teachers not only organized and explained the rules but also participated with enthusiasm, making the experience even more engaging.
1. Tying of Gele:Mrs. Patricia demonstrated the art of tying gele, a traditional Nigerian head wrap. Students marveled at the intricate designs and techniques, and some even tried their hands at creating their own styles.
2. Make Up Challenge: Mrs. Angela led this station, where students showcased their creativity and makeup skills. With brushes in hand and palettes of colors, they transformed their friends' faces into works of art.
3. Eating Competition: The cafeteria turned into a battleground of appetites as Mrs Henrietta organized an eating competition. Students competed to see who could finish their plates the fastest, amidst cheers and laughter.
4. Balloon Bursting: Over at the playground, Mr. Frank set up a balloon bursting challenge. Students, creating a thrilling and joyous atmosphere.
5. Guess the Voice: With blindfolds on and ears perked, students tried to identify their peers' voices in this fun guessing game. Mr. Sheriff facilitated the activity, adding a twist to the challenge with clever hints and tricks.
6. Karaoke: The highlight of the day was the karaoke session, anchored by Mrs Funmi Students took to the stage to belt out their favorite tunes, turning the event into a mini concert filled with laughter, cheers, and impressive performances.
As the event wrapped up at 10 AM, the school grounds buzzed with stories of victory, moments of laughter, and newfound interests. Games Day was more than just a break from routine; it was a celebration of our school community's spirit and a testament to the dedication of our teachers, especially Mrs. Henrietta, whose initiative made it all possible.
